Abstract: Multimodal WC-10Co-4Cr coating was deposited on ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo stainless steel substrate by using HVOF spraying system. The properties of bond strength, micro hardness, porosity and abrasive wear of the coating were investigated. The phases of the feedstock powder and the coating were analyzed by XRD, The characterizations of spraying feedstock powder, microstructure and surface micrograph wear surfaces were analyzed by SEM. The results have indicated that the WC-10Co-4Cr coating exhibits high bond strength, micro-hardness and compact structure, the average micro-hardness reached to 1435Hv0.2 and the bond strength was more than 70MPa. Compared with the ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo stainless steel, WC-10Co-4Cr coating exhibits excellent anti-abrasion property, the anti-abrasion property of the coating was more than 10 times to the ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo stainless steel.
